If I were a bird, I'd be a peacock. Cause gosh, they are so pretty, my favorite colors in fact. I'd have to be a boy, though, cause the girls are so brown and plain. Funny how it is in the bird world...that the boys are the attractive ones. Not so really in the human world.
But then I am not at all a prissy girl. And really, if I were a bird, I'd like to be able to fly. Peacocks really just flutter around kinda lame like.
I guess if I were a bird, I'd rather be an eagle or some other type of regal bird that soars up high. Hmmm, but then I'd have to develop a taste for sushi or rodents or dead things.
I guess I will just stay me. I'm not so bad.
This was a prissy peacock that I pissed off at the zoo. I stalked him for a bit and got in too close for his comfort and he flounced off in a huff. I got a shot of his flouncing and it kinda makes me laugh. Wanna see the flouncy huffy huff: http://365project.org/amandal/themes-challeng/2014-06-01 (Hee hee).
@lesip Punk was resting here and the flounced away when I got too close. I wasn't gonna stalk him long. Another guy on here followed one around for 45 minutes this week to get the spread. I am too busy and lazy for that.
What a great shot of such a gorgeous peacock, Amanda. Love the colors and detail you captured. You got a really good angle on this one. I gave up on the one at the Zoo in SF. Love what you wrote and have not looked at your other photo yet. I have been told to whistle and they will spread their feathers. Since I do not whistle but maybe you do and can next time. FAV
@vega I piss off everybody given a little time with me. Sheesh. Thank you, my friend. It was the closest I'd gotten in awhile. I want one to show me it's tail sometime!!
This is a beautiful shot. Gorgeous colors. My mother told me once that when I was a baby she took me to the duck pond and chased the ducks to make me laugh. She said that the groundskeeper scolded her for annoying the ducks. ha ha Did you get scolded for pissing off the peacock?
@stimuloog I think I'd love to do that. thanks, lady. I'm so enjoying the writing aspect of this project this year!
@lleo Oh thank you!!!
@carolmw Thanks, lady!!
