Our poor kids...what we photographers put them through.
This is my son, Lucas, outside on my newly installed hammock reading today. He was reading one of my favorite books from childhood called, Mandy. I loved the book because the main character shared my name.
I watched him from the window, then ran for my camera and stalked him for the best pov and angle from inside. Poor kid had no idea.
I did rather like the peeping pov here. More shots to come in my great newly hung hammock. I've had it for 4 years now and we finally have the trees to hang it on.
Wonderful candid shot of your handsome son. He does look so engrossed ..I wonder what he is reading. Lovely framing and the b&w is so perfect for this shot. Hammock are so fun...enjoy!
I love this, Amanda! Fav. In case you didn't see my response on my wall, I'll repost on yours as well: I am SOOO sorry to keep you hanging. I got super swamped of late and my account is still not functioning properly. So, I wouldn't mind it at all if you pass it on to Annie. Is that o.k.? Thanks for your consideration.
@bill_fe Yeah, he doesn't look so lurky compared to the others, but I sure did had you seen me. I had a total lurker shot from last summer that I should have tagged. He's a sweet boy, a gentle kind spirit. A dream kid. It was his idea to read outside.
I love your hammock and this shot of your son. Guess you have to share it but that is ok. Nice to see him reading a favorite of yours. Love your writing.
Lovely shot. My eldest loves to read and be read too... When he can read more I'm expecting to find him slumped in various corners reading! Beautiful stalker shot.
@joemuli It killed me that there was such a break in the contest. I had so many good possibilites. But alas, I need to give it a rest, me thinks. Gotta love a good story, though. thansk!!
