This is the companion shot to my Mad Hatters Urban Legend shot today. I was testing settings to get it right before the devil joined me in the shot. You'll get it if you see the finished shot and story @madhatters .
I love dancing, love grooving to tunes. I was quite a clubber in my college days. I met Mike on the dance floor actually and later went up to him on the sidelines and asked him why he wasn't dancing.
It's been years since clubbing. I miss it. Great fun exercise and girl friend time!
This is a lovely shot. I never managed to dance because as soon as the music started my legs froze, but I can sense the excitement in your picture. Fav!
You could sell this to so many bars, restaurants, women's clothing stores and accessories and dating sites, clubs, dance studios! It is soooooo happy and cool!
@creativeaddict And it was so fun to do...must try it again, maybe without screaming while I'm doing to make it less creepy. Thanks, lady!! I so wanna sell stuff. I should try harder!
@kareenking It is NEVER too late. I so need to get back onto it...or at least have more dance parties with my kids. I embarrass them already, though...that starts young. Thanks, Kareen!
Such a fun shot, Amanda and love your processing too. I loved to dance, nothing like good music and fun people to dance with. Met my husband that way too.
Thanks for checking on me Amanda just got called in today so gone 7am-8pm. No time for fun! Work again tomorrow too so wanted to check out everyone's pics real quick!
Super selfie...and yes I loved those days too. I met my husband on the dance floor too. He had all the right moves! He actually is a good dancer, thought we haven't been for a long time.
Urban Legends are the best!!!!! I love the song and I love that dress!! I so wanted to dance, but not quite yet!!! I did have things moving and spinning, just in place!!!!! Fantastic movement and the Mad Hatter photo looked like you were dancing with Freddy Kruger!!!!!! Spinning FAV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@roseolivia Suse above mentioned that this reminded her of you, your style. Thanks for the pointers and inspiration. I so love your work and style. I used my first watermark ever on this shot. He he...
wonderful shot, kiddo. the movement you captured is quite engaging. i was never into dancing except for the cultural ones i did in school. but funny, when you have someone who loves dancing like my bestie, she got me into ballroom dancing and discovered albeit too late that i have the knack for it. too bad she lives in california. i should find and watch for posterity a video of me at the dance studio in manila 3 years ago. partner likes to dance but he's horrible at it!
@summerfield I'm not what one would describe as a good dancer. I have rhythm, though, and a style all of my own. A bit of a freak on the dance floor, but one with a great big smile on my face. I so want to go again.
@nanderson Wish we could go!!!
@davie LOVED old wave 80s dancing in college.
