The Great Big Lying Winter Sun

Saw the sun glinting through the snowy branches in my backyard the other morning and it made me happy. The combo of snow and sunshine is amazingly pretty. Too often, it is snow and grayness. The sun make the snow so sparkling and just helps you to feel warmer, even if only in your head.

I am a person that needs lots of sunshine and struggle during this season of 80% grayness. I started taking vitamin D last winter to help combat my blues on gray days.

Just wanted to share my lovely start to the day with you and wishing you warmth and sparkle and beauty today.

The short days of sunshine wreak havoc on my mood, learned last year that my vitamin D levels were below normal, have managed to reach the normal range... your image is just lovely, you captured winter's elusive light!

Beautiful, gorgeous sunshine through the branches and the snow.....it looks so magical!! Are you guys getting the rain they predicted? It is all supposed to melt in upstate NY this weekend. Slush and rain after a nice snowfall were never my favorites...:-(
