My Clara used her Christmas money to buy herself a camera after Christmas. Her first. It was onsale for $15. I hear her clicking and snapping and seeing her loving it and it makes my heart sing.
Here we were shooting each other at the same time. Her clicking me, clicking her.
I don't think you can underestimate the benefits of kids getting to do creative stuff with their parents when they're young, and that is cool, looking through the lens?
Good on her!!!
Great portrait.
Let's hope it's the first of many cameras, and make sure she keeps it. It'll be a lovely thing to have to look back on later on.
Very cute! I like the color version myself. Here's a serious suggestion. Open a 365 account for her. She will probably be sporadic, but she will learn so much in addition to photography such as audience awareness, story - telling, geography and culture, botany, and zoology, etc.!
I thought it was you at first look, Amanda! Then I realised it couldn't be because her fingers aren't covering the lens! :-) It's a lovely shot and for once I prefer it in the girlie pink!
I can well imagine how it makes your heart sing to have a child share in your love of photography. This is a sweet picture of your mini-me taking your picture.
hmmm some real competition under your own roof - not sure how you are going to cope with that - some serious dressing up box stand offs on the horizon - "no no you take one of me!" heh! gorgeous soft tones
@seanoneill Poor bubba has a gray tooth that she killed by falling on tile with it. I had to edit it white, not a great edit but it helped. Looking forward to her getting that one out. May be sooner than it would have been ordinarily.
Great portrait.

Wonderful !!!
Willow keeps wanting to take pictures.
