Kinda reminds me of how I remembered the element gold for the periodic table way back in high school: AU give me all your gold. It worked. Still remember it more than 20 years later. The rest alludes me.
So, the story behind this is that I recently got a new ski mask. It has been a quest of mine since I saw them last season and scoffed. And then it got cold, really cold, and somehow it is me that ends up walking the dog on those really cold, bone chilling nights and my face would freeze sometimes, my nose would crack and burn and I thought, "crud, I need one of those goofy masks."
Little boys who rode their bikes to school in the colder seasons used to wear them in FL (FL, where it is hardly even cold). I found them creepy looking and weird.
But I needed one now, wanted one. It was my quest to find one. Went back to the store and they were gone and had been looking ever since until last week when I finally found the last one in some random place up front at Walmart by the registers for $2.88 and snapped it up. MINE!
When I put it on, I realized that I look like someone who would knock off a convenience store or a bank, someone not to be messed with. And of course my mind went to selfie.
So there you go. Me in my new walk the dog ski mask. Should you see me out in this, I'd suggest running the other way.
haha , reminds me of long long ago when my then small son told me he wanted a hat to cover all his face, So I laboriously and lovingly knitted him a Balaclava helmet as remembered from my own childhood in a hefty ribknit and a sort of Airforce grey. it left the face completely uncovered,
Was there ever a mismatch between desire and execution . Of course he had wanted a scary,,trendy ski-mask like yours.
It was never worn and still raises laughter when we think of it !
@sophiaz Shoot. I found a bunch online. Another thing I can never find is good gloves or mittens that are waterproof for the kids to play in the snow with. Why is it hard to find winter gear?
@anzere03 You so should have given me a hard time over my politically uncorrectedness of this. How cold and callous I must be, etc. It has lost me some followers today.
I love your title. Scary looking selfie though, like you are ready to rob a bank or something like that. Great find on the ski mask. You need to keep your face protected in that cold weather.
I like the netting effect you have got for this photo! That mask would be good for cold noses which is what I notice when out biking in the winter. I have got a mask but its only for the head. Didn't Batman or Robin wear a mask like this?
I'll give you a fave you look scary!!! Many volcanoes erupt mulberry jam sandwiches under normal pressure. If I ever need to know the order in which the planets are from the sun this helps me. I learnt it in maths lessons when 16. I cant recall a time when I have ever needed it but maybe one day I will....
@newbank I learned My very evil mother just stepped upon new pickles. Isn't one of the planets we learned no longer considered a planet? Pluto? Funny how we remember stuff. And thanks!
You pulled off the menacing feel for the photo! I'm just wondering how your dog friend balances the effect. Are you walking a Doberman or a Pomeranian?
Freaky, what a ski-mask will do to one's appearance. You've definitely got the don't-mess-with-me look in your eyes as well. Of course that could be the same expression you have when offering cookies, but the ski mask just changes everything. Great selfie, Miss Amanda.
I knew there'd be a perfectly logical story behind this photo (and there sort of, was). You do look scary and I would avoid you if at all possible. Great selfie idea!
i think this is hilarious! I need a ski madk too!Only part if bidy that is cold when i go out is my face.Funny story about a gun.My mother in law who has alz comes out if the bedroom with brandishing a silver pistol.Almost gave her caregiver a heart attack.Turns out it was my hubbies " cap gun" from when he was a kid.Nobody has any idea where she found it.
Fun Fun FUn! I think I would run the other way if I saw someone wearing a ski mask early in the morning...coming my way. Yikes. Great set up for this "shot" "shoot" .. ahhh please don't!
@seanoneill Love to dress as a bowling ball:). Any chance I get.

you look positively terrifying here... wonderfully dark selfie!
