Today, my Clara, my littlest, my baby turns 6. Not a baby anymore. Really she hasn't been for quite some time.
A bit of me mourns the passing years, the growing up of my kids. I've always joked when they turn a new year, if I can keep calling them the old age. "No, MOM!!"
She is still little. A petite child. I can still scoop her up in my arms and hold her when she needs it. We still snuggle on my rocking chair. There are still cuddles. These will be gone soon and that breaks my heart a little.
Slow down, Clara...don't be in such a hurry to grow up.

Happy Birthday to Clara! It is so sad watching them leave this fun age. My littlest will be 5 soon and off to school in Sept :( I still remember your photo of Clara leaving for school on the bus! I'll be feeling that way myself I know.
What a fantastic birthday capture. My youngest is 27 OMG I'm OLD !!!! My mom told me to enjoy them when they were young because the time would fly bye...... I didn't believe her MY BAD !!!! I did enjoy them well most of the time just didn't realize how much I would miss those good old days...

I still have big cuddles with my 20 year old and she wants to go on holiday with me just girls together as her 21st present so daughters do stay close.
We are off to the island of Ischia for a week in August. However she then goes to uni so I will have to treasure that week for a long time. My son has left home so October will be strange. You have many many years,of cuddles to come. Enjoy.
