My 365 friend, Danny, did an upshot through the dogwood blooms last spring that I loved. He inspired me to try a similar shot this week.
I can't help but smile at all the beauty, life, color and even the warmth of this time of year. Never knew spring to this degree before. Never appreciated the thaw and life of it as I lived in a tropical region that was always temperate and flowery.
I hope I am always enamored by this beautiful change.
Oh and thanks so much for your great comments and faves that put me on the top 20 for the first time this year with my cute little girl photobomber.
Happy Weekend!
Oh and one thing I forgot to mention...this tree is in a neighbor's yard down the street. I approached the man and asked him if it would be ok for me to take photos of his trees. And his reply..."I'd be honored." Just goes to show that asking will usually get you what you are looking for. Now I just gotta ask for the portrait rather than being sneaky:).
@soboy5 Here is the you inspired shot. Wish my sky had been bluer and I had a different lens on, but then again...our shots are different and that's good.
This is such a beautiful shot, Amanda. I learn so much from you. Do not have to close up so much on trees like this. But I have not been close to a pink tree, just white so not as colorful or beautiful as this one. FAV
Just a glorious shot of this amazing tree with those beautiful flowers! Love your perspective on this, and how the flowers glow in the light. I totally understand the thing about appreciating spring so much more after a rough winter....ours is more of a continuation of the same, and nowhere near as dramatic!
That being said, I think I will go look for a jacaranda tree to shoot in the bright daylight!
