The Dazzling Delphinium

And my breath of calm before the storm. Today is my kids last day of school and then begins the long, fun blur of summer.

This year will be different as I am working part time. Perhaps that couple days of work a week will be a good break for all of us.

I was feeling a big mix of excitement and dread. The excitement is winning out. Glad for that!

And tonight we celebrate...but not before I take a moment to smell the flowers and enjoy my favorite peaceful colors here.

Beautiful capture and great use of DOF. You are really enjoying that 35mm lens ? So who's watching the kiddos while you work? I worked evening while the kids were little so I got my break and I think it got Bob and the boys to be really close.

@lesip My mom one day and a girlfriend with kids the same ages another day. I like the lens, but less than I'd hoped. Ready for the next thing;). Luckily my work days are only 5 hours, too, so I will still have plenty of time with the kids. Off now until next Tuesday!
