Today is my mom's birthday and I wanted to wish her a blessed day and new year of life.
She is one of the best moms I've known. I couldn't have asked for a better one. I always knew I was loved and cared for and supported. Sure, the teen years were a bit of a challenge, but whose aren't?
Now I am blessed to have my mom as a great friend and confidante. I love living close to her and seeing her on a regular basis. Her Grandkids adore her, too.
She works with kids at my girls Elementary school, kids that need extra help. She is patient and loving and is able to bring the best out of these kids and make them see their worth and value.
This is an older shot, from this past Christmas. When we took it, I was annoyed and just wanted my mom to be normal for the photo. Now I love it. What fun is normal?
Happy Birthday and Happy Mother's Day to the best mom for me.
P.S. I am ok and will post when I am motivated to do so, just not out of compulsion. May not be daily, but hopefully somewhat regularly.
Lovely shot, and not only a casual selfie: there's a super-serious composition here! Combination of horizontal and vertical lines, rule of thirds, and the splash of color of the subjects... Very nice!
