At the end of the day, after the battle is done, why can't we all get along? Can't we all be friends?
These two were...north and south...opposite sides in the Civil War Reenactment. But when the fight was over, they strode off the battle field side by side, together.
This is how it should be. Like brothers. You punch each other in the face and go back to being best friends.
I love the depth in this with the blurred foreground and the sentiment is so true especially in our country now. I get so tired of it. Races, political parties, religions (or lack thereof), lifestyles...everyone fighting. Sometimes I just want to tell everyone to shut up and go back to when they were 5 years old and everyone was your best friend. Stop fueling the fires, just be kind and show love. Sorry for the rant - this just spoke to how I've been feeling for a long time. Which, long story short, means - I love the shot. Fav
Love your photo and your words as well. This is so true, we should be able to all be friends, but many are raised differently in our country and in other countries as well. Some have personalities that just do not get along and grow apart. If only we could be civil towards each other when there are enormous differences or other things that complicate individuals. Great post Amanda. Fav
Wonderful POV - low down and through the grass - feels as though you're a war photographer in hiding. Also love the sentiment and the idea that we could all get on - if only!
Bitter sweet truths.
