Did this ever happen to anyone when you were a kid? Licking your ball of ice cream right off the cone? It did to me once. Worst. Day. Ever. I do remember my daddy hustling back in for another cone for me, while I howled.
So taking this shot yesterday I had to first see if we had any ice cream. I was relieved it was plain old vanilla as it would have been harder to waste a delicious flavor (I may have tried to salvage a good one from the deck;-). I am dressed as a little girl and taking photos of myself in the back yard when my daughter comes back to ask me a question. I answer it and send her back out front to play, warning her not to bring the others back, I want to be left alone. The kids had a friend over, a boy. A minute or so later when I am posing for another shot, the whole crew comes back to see me in all of my dorky glory. Not much embarrasses me, but this does for some reason. What mother dresses up and takes photos?! Weirdo. Luckily, Emily explained that her mother is a photographer.
Needless to say, I was quite ticked with Clara who got a steep penalty for disobeying me.
Hold on to your ice cream, folks. You don't want to lose it like this. So very sad!
Composed perfectly. Nothing to be embarrassed about at all. You have perfected the emotion of the moment. I'm with you on not wasting good ice cream too!
I almost got myself in trouble laughing about this in the office this morning. And not to take sides, but this does seem too good to not share with others. I would have done the same thing Clara did! Fun fav for me!
Fabulous
@rhoing Right?!
