The Emerald Pool by alophoto

The Emerald Pool

Yesterday we went to tour a local waterfall that we found online. It was about an hour away. And it was gorgeous in the photos we saw online: http://www.onlyinyourstate.com/ohio/breathtaking-waterfalls/ (it's Fallsville Falls...a rather uncreative name).

Trouble was, the water was NOT flowing. Must be a winter and spring thing.

It was still very pretty and a neat place to go. Must go back.

A sad thing that happened was that it was rather precarious to get down to the falls/pools and it was also rather slippery on the mossy rocks. Both of my parents fell and bruised themselves. My mom thought that she had broken her toe and spent 6 hours in the ER to get it checked out last night. Fallsville indeed.
A beautiful calm and serene scene . I hope your parents have recovered !!

Emerald pool is much nicer than 'a green pool' or Falls Pool! Very tricky with green rocks too though! As your parents found!

They look amazing in the link but you caught a FAbulous picture of the reflections . Interesting double entendre name of the town and falls. So sorry to hear about your parents. Glad it isn't worse

Good looking capture. Always disappointing when the reality doesn't match the advertisement. Great that the older generation survived.

A lovely capture - glad to know there were no broken bones in the fall (everyone be careful out there - no more falling!)
