Election day is finally here. Today I go to the polls. I don't feel as proud as normally do as I am not super happy or confident with either of the Presidential choices. This time around it is more, who do I hate less, not as much who is the best choice.
This has been the longest, ugliest, most divisive political season that I have ever experienced. I am sure it has been a factor in my sleepless nights as I weigh my choices and even consider the consequences of the options.
There have even been threats of ISIS attacks today at the polls. God be with us.
Praying for my country, praying for it's people and their safety today and that God would put into power the best people for the available roles. People that we would be proud to lead us.
Tomorrow I leave for a missions trip in Mexico, in one of the most dangerous cities in the world (or at least it was at one time in recent history).
I hope that there is no problem for Americans there in light of what has been said of Mexicans during this election season. I hope that a wall won't be built while I am there, trapping me in.
Hope and pray to be back in a few days so that I can share Mexico and it's people with you.

I'm watching the polls at the moment and it is starting to look like a Trump win! I'm with you - who do you dislike the least! Be really safe in Mexico!

I will pray for you and I will pray for USA and for rest of the world, the world is a pretty crazy place now and now more than ever we will all need some good will and blessings. You guys got a pretty rotten deal with the two candidates, surely there would have been better choices for candidates but those two was the ones you got stuck with. I don´t envy you for having to chooce from those but I do know understand how the outcome could be this, surely this is a bad dream, I really don´t know where we are going and what will happen in the future.
I'm back tracking so I know you are back safe and sound. Glad you had such a heartfelt trip. You're thoughts are mine with this election. Can't believe all that is going on. Today a local high school had 100's of students walkout and march in the streets. REALLY ???? We sure need a lot of LOVE and HEALING right now.
@lesip Wow, I am trying to avoid the news. I had so much anxiety throughout the election season and I need to move on. So nice to get away and forget for a few days.
