This was the last sunset of fall and the welcome to winter. It's a friends house and I pulled up and started taking photos on my way home when I saw the gorgeous color show in the sky. As I pulled away, I realized they were outside probably wondering why I was shooting their house. Creepy.
Ironically, just yesterday, sick of the bitter cold, I looked up when spring starts...and then I realized it wasn't even officially winter yet. This will be a long, cold 4+ months filled with wearing lots of wool socks and drinking lots of hot drinks.
At least the snow and sun shows (when it chooses to come out) are pretty.
I do indeed feel your pain of the long winter. I truly despise the cold, and the overcast, and the lack of light. How shall we make it thru? Shall we challenge each other???
I always find it surprising (and a little depressing at times) to find that winter only begins today ... I feel we've been in winter for a few weeks already! Lovely image!
