Comfort from Mama's Hands

Day 3 of being sick this week for Clara. She missed 3 school days. Started out with asthma coughing and pink eye then evolved to a fever for days. I love and hate these times.

Nothing like having the magical ability to comfort with a touch or hug or snuggle. There is nothing in the world like being a mama. I was holding Clara' on my lap this morning whispering sweet words to her and said, "I'll miss this when you are grown up." I will miss the holding.

Hate her being unwell and miserable, but gosh, I love love love the holding that I don't get much now that she's almost 8.

A few more shots til I finish year 5. Can you believe I started this when Clara was only 2. You have gotten to watch her grow up.
