A Prehistoric Dinosaur Egg? by alophoto

A Prehistoric Dinosaur Egg?

This is from Clara and my Girl Scout overnight at the zoo over the weekend and the first critter that we got to meet.

Any guesses? Doesn't it look prehistoric?

It is a 6 Banded Armadillo named Bocce.

She was super cute all rolled up in a ball for protection.

Happy Sunday!
I thought it was an armadillo before I read further - how cool is that!

Bocce!!! The name alone is hysterical. What an amazing view, I had no idea.

I would never have guessed that it was a living thing. It looks more like a seedpod of some kind. What a perfect name for it and a superb picture of it with nice sharp detail

You know "Bocce" is the italian name for a kind of bowling game, do you? Cute little guy!

@domenicododaro I've known the game, but didn't realize it was Italian. All the good stuff is...pizza, spaghetti, my husband:)!

@alophoto no really, your husband is Italian?
May 8th, 2017
@domenicododaro Yes, 100%, but third generation American. He married me a mutt, so our kids are 50% Italian. Must make it to Italy someday!
