As summer 2017 wraps up and the kids went back to school today, I can honestly say I had a blast. It was my best summer as a mom ever. One big happy blur of swimming, ice cream (so much ice cream), bike rides, canoeing, baseball games, hiking, zoo trips, fun family times, root beer floats, 4 square, cute cousins, reading (I read them 2.5 Little House books outloud and they and I read countless books on our own), movies, laughing, leisurely mornings and afternoon rests. One thing that helped was that I continued to take care of myself and still got to the gym and ran fairly regularly. We didn't even take a vacation, but still had a fabulous memorable time. So as I saw them off on the bus this morning, I was grateful, but a little sad for the summer fun to end. Back to the grind for all of us...I start work again today, too. Hurry up next summer...
Off to dry my eyes and get back in my regular gym routine.
Oh my goodness! They are growing so fast! Quite a difference in expressions between the photo on the left in the one on the right. Although you are sad to see them go whatever you are doing for yourself is working well. You look fabulous

Glad you had a good one. Have a feeling your last one was tough. Still 2 weeks left here. Not being the best one though. I've been diagnosrd with breast cancer. Treatment starts soon.

It's great to hear you've had such a fun summer. They sure look grown up now, they've all got a lot taller over the last year or two! Glad to hear they're looking forward to school again.
I love when you tell us about your adventures with your kids. It makes me look back so fondly on the time I spent when my children were that age...I miss it. I'm so glad you take it so seriously and also have so much fun with them. I must say though it's hard to tell the difference between you and the kids. You look so young! xx
@psychographer Aw thanks, being farther from the lens helps:). Plus I am close in size to the big ones now. Glad you had good times with your kids, too!
