This afternoon, I was out putting birdseed in the feeder and singing "Feed the Birds" at the top of my lungs. I was not being quiet. Looked down into the woods and 15 feet or so away was a big lump in the tree. AN OWL!!! I've wanted to see and capture one for years. I ran inside. Couldn't find my big lens. Searched and searched. Found, swapped, ran out and my friggin' camera battery was dead. Had to go back grab back up battery and owl was still waiting. I snapped and then chatted with the owl for a bit. It was watching me until it got bored with all of the chatter and flew away. Bye Boris!
Any "Whoo", it was pretty awesome and has been a desire of my heart for awhile.

P.S. Title is what this particular owl says when it calls. Years ago, we went on an owl prowl and were looking for this kind of owl. Didn't find it then...today was my day!
