{Last night we finally changed our bad luck spree at the racetrack. My favorite horse JJ ran for the first time since August.
We knew how well he had been feeling and how bad he wanted to run, but no lies we weren't sure that he'd win...We'd decided at this point we'd be happy if he crossed the finish line and came back sound.
So, race time approached and we all stood around and watched him trot around the circle, showing himself off to the race fans....Many of you may not know that a 350 yard race lasts less than 20 seconds, so blink and it's over.
Well, JJ won! I was a huge emotional mess, so extremely happy to see my big boy win & happy for my boyfriend at the same time. JJ was his first career win as a horse trainer.
I can't even begin to explain the feelings and emotions that ran through me at that moment. It's so hard to explain how great it feels to watch a horse you love (literally) with all your heart cross the line in front. I am SO proud of him.
So, here's a picture I took of him this morning just looking handsome
