Well, just to let you'll know, there are times when I don't go to the market even once a year. But now, the lure of a good picture.... and on the slightest pretext, I take off to the market.
@thresheg Thanks Graham for revisiting and the fav! :) @writingdays yes, at Crawford Rohini. @taffy There is natural light streaming in through the roof at certain spots, this area is near the entrance , and they put on these extra bright lights in some shops which disturbs me a bit, but not much you can do.....Thanks for your comnent Taffy. @khirsch. Thanks so much Karin :) @dandolo yes it is !Lol! And now, i notice more than before... so, i get a bit dizzy...thanks :)
@sansjuan yes Nita, i have done that a couple of times, the family is going a bit crazy with me! Lol! :) thanks @fishy. It is a very old building, it was completed in1869, Crawford Market. And the mangoes come in many varieties, but Alphonso, the ones you see here are the sweetest of them all (@jodimuli)
Andrew, wish i could send you some, if not a bucket load... :)
LOvely shot. Luv the processing with a green hue. I did manage to get into a mango godown, once at Crawford market and to this day, have gr8 memories of that sight with its typical smell. Alphonso have become so expensive at last, I knew 4-5 $ for one.
@cjainmd am so glad this brought back good memories! At the start of the season mangoes are expensive here too, but now the prices have cone down. @colie Thanks Colie! :) @psychographer Thank you Lisa, it is mangoes all the way..... :) @jgpittenger yes Jane it s massive and spread out, this what you see is at the entrance, the wholesale market is more widespread inside. Thanks!
