The music of the sea...

I leave the blinking lights behind,
The street sounds too,
The chatter, the banter that fills the air
The sound of footsteps too...

A soft light I see,
The touch of night descends;
Pebbles, stones; lost, discarded things
Lie beneath my feet.

A splash of spray...
The gentle touch of the sea
Comes forward to welcome me.

A resounding engulfs me
A continuous melody
And I am lost to me
In the music of the sea...
