Angel in the shape of my mum

"So I'll sing Hallelujah
You were an angel in the shape of my mum
When I fell down you'd be there holding me up
Spread your wings as you go
And when God takes you back we'll say Hallelujah
You're home" - Ed Sheeran

Today marks two years since my mum passed away, a tough day to embrace but I've taken through the day with gratitude. Gratitude that she was my mum, a best friend and a grandma to my boys. She had a big heart and a beautiful soul. She was amazing.

Mum loved lavender so we spent the morning at the lavender farm in Pemberton and took a photo of her with us.

I was a little reluctant to get away over this time but I am so glad that we did. We camped at a place called Fonty's pool in Manjimup and I was reminded of some childhood memories from my first family holiday with her.

The song above reminds me of my mum, it's so beautiful.

Thanks for looking.
Lovely memory and tribute to your mum...

I love the heartfelt tribute to your mom. It’s coming up on two years since my dad passed away so I understand, and it’s great when the sad feelings are slowly replaced with happy memories

Love this. I lost my Mom 15 years ago and my Dad passed away last June so I definitely know what you are going through. This is beautiful photo and I am positive that when you look at it, it will bring back wonderful memories of her and also of this special day with your family. Prayers for you and your family!
