so....what are you reading? :)
posted May 7th, 2011
@jennylee :) several books at once actually...lol! I'm finishing up Crazy Love by Francis Chan. And then I'm also reading Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. I just finished Heaven is for Real (SO amazing...an account of a 4 year old's trip to Heaven!!) and also I just finished the series Hunger Games...which was AMAZING and I didn't want to let it go!!

are you liking this as much as holding a book?
i can not quit buying regular books.

@amyhughes - oh my gosh! i loved the hunger games series, and heaven is for real brought tears to my eyes!!

oh goodness, I LOVE the Hunger Games! good stuff! and I'm definitely going to have to check out the Heaven is for Real, sounds good! I just have nook on my iPhone, but I've been wanting to get the real thing......

@glendq oh I still buy regular books too, I can't stop my love for books. The smell of them, the feel of turning the pages...I collect old hard backs too so.... but yes. Books that I won't necessarily want to keep in the house I get on the Nook and I do love it. It's very convenient to bring my 'stack of books' traveling!!

@jennylee oh you SHOULD! (check out Heaven is for Real and also get a Nook!) It's much better than the phone app I think. You will be blown away by that book. It's insane.

great shot. I am sooooo addicted to my nook. The hunger games was awesome and they are making it into a movie.

@amyhughes I'm downloading that book right now, and maybe a Nook would be a good Mother's day gift to myself? ;)

Thanks for the tip Amy!

I tried an other version of this a while ago, but I like my books to much! I am a frequent visitor of our librairy. The only thing that would be handy is to take this on vacation, instead of a whole suitcase filled with books... ;-)
I like this selfie of you, it really gives the feel of reading!

Great focus and love the editing!

is this like a kindle? i have just ordered a kindle (yesterday) as we are off on holiday to the states in 2 weeks and i haven't got room in my suitcase for all the books i want to take. How do you find it?
posted May 7th, 2011
I agree with you. I can't stand when movies stray a bit too far from the book and this series was really good. It is suppose to come out March 2012.

Cool image.

@amyhughes - you are sooo related to Granny! Remember how she loved reading and books? We probably all get it from her. I don't read much, but I don't let that stop me from wanting to drop a paycheck in barnes and noble!! (I do have three books on my night stand right now- strangely ALL are photography-related!)

I understand the convenience of these things but I just can't get ,y head around not holding a book when reading.

Nice shot! I love my nook, too! I need to get it set up with some new books and re-download all my old ones. (I had to reset everything the other day when it got cranky on me.)

Love the focus and the processing! And the framing :)

Hello!

My name is Marta Costa, I’m a girl from Portugal, currently studying in my last year of High School ( 12th grade ) in the field of Arts. For our Multimedia Class we have to make an Individual Project and I decided to do a documentary plus a videoart, inspired on Steve Reich’s work.

The reason why I’m contacting you is to have your authorization to use parts of your 365 project, use your photography’s to be more precise, in the videos I want to create.

The reason why I choose to focus in the 365 project comes with my personal interest and curiosity for photography and I also invested my time in such project. It’s inspiring, it’s interesting, it’s intriguing which picture picked for each day and there are such wonderful works around there. If you are interested to see what i've done until this day, you can follow me at www.flickr.com/photos/52883161@N05/

If you agree in letting me use your work, I would appreciate if you could submit your name (First and Last, preferably), Country/Home Town where you live at the moment and a brief opinion about what the 365 project means to you.

For example, why did you start it? Do you enjoy working on that project? In which ways the project is related with your daily life? Do you tend to expose your own routine in the pictures or you look more at what’s around you? Overall, do you like or dislike the results you are getting? Does is at have emotional meaning or you see it more like a hobby? Are you enjoying it enough to proceed with it until the end?

Note that this Individual Project has no profitable ends and it will only be exposed to and analyzed by teachers and classmates, including the name of the author and respecting the rights of his/her work.

If any more information is necessary about me or about my project to feel reassured about allowing me to use your work, please, be my guest to ask.

Thank you for your time and I shall wait for an answer.
