@peadar yes, this is near the tip of Michigan’s “thumb” and was named by French sailors/voyageurs around 1760 as rock formations on the shoreline looked like ship’s prows. Originally constructed in 1848, the lighthouse is still used as an aid to navigation, maintained by the Coast Guard and is one of Michigans oldest working lighthouses.
