Home Sweet Home

photo 113
Yes, you have seen me traveling here and there, far away places, by plane, by ship, or by car, and finally I made it home (sweet home) driving a U-Haul truck... Yes, there is the anonymous little super hero in me... After the big storm last week, and lots of damage, and no energy, under a heat wave... I left the Jersey shore and drove about 1400 miles to Miami. It was an adventure, and thanks to God I safely arrived HOME!!!
Comments
Good for you!! I have driven west, north, south and east- but never in a U-haul! Glad to hear you've arrived safely!

Are you shifting there? What a long drive! Great to see all these shots! Hope you are happy in Miami!

Welcome home. What a trip you have had. Thanks for taking us along.

Nice collage, you got some really fun pictures in it. Driving a U-Haul 1400 miles is daunting, so many of them have horrible suspension systems. Hope yours was better than most we've rented, and isn't it great to be back HOME after a long trip?

I have certainly enjoyed your travels .... You are full of adventure ....glad you have arrived ...did you move to Miami?

Ana... this is such a cool collage. I especially like the picture of the road with those incredible clouds. Awesome work.

Welcome home ;)

@olivetreeann - The same for me, drove every where, but never in a U-haul... there is a first time for everything in life, and I am glad I was able to do it. Thanks for your comment.

@mtngal - I have to tell you, Harriett, that I was amazed what a wonderful U-Haul I got. It only had 4000 miles, nice suspension, great seats, fantastic back-view mirrors, excellent A/C. No complains whatsoever. I love traveling, but yes, it's great to be back home.

@photos222 - Thank you Sybil for your comment and visit. Miami is my permanent home, and I am glad to be back! I love to travel, but there is nothing like home.

@kwind - Thank you, kwind, I appreciate your comment, and I am glad you enjoyed the shots during the trip. Oh my... good question: how long was I away? I left on May 4th... so: 2 months. It was a wonderful experience, but happy to be back.

posted July 7th, 2012
@bruni - Bruni, I have to tell you that the U-Haul truck was surprisingly very comfortable. Great seats and good suspension. I started driving conservatively at 55 mph, but as I got used to the truck and went to an average 70 mph. Glad you liked the collage. Thank you.
