Would you say these aubergine (or eggplant or brinjal depending on where you live) are violet or purple???... Doesn't matter I suppose, they definately are veg so it fits in with today's ABC photo. (re-uploaded as originally added wrong pic...doh!)
I really wanted to photgraph something more relevant to my day, but still fitting it in with the theme... vehicle, vessel or something a little more interesting than this, but just didn't find anything suitable... So instead, when I got home I had a quick look for something beginning with a V.
Ended up checking the fridge in desperation and noticed these aubergines... decided they were violet, plonked them in an old vase I then found in a cupboad under the sink and bob's your uncle....
There was something strange happening with the weather today.. it was warm... really odd...!! Hope it continues :-)
(...whew! I thought I'd said something inappropriate!) I stand by what I said initially... "Aubergine" is just "Violet" with attitude... (And I like your off-set composition)
Very creative use of veggies on hand...but still amazed that you had so many fresh, healthy things in your fridge. I would have had to have photographed a hunk of cheese, stale bread or can of seltzer water. Not much good at the cooking thing in our household. :-)
