Day 1 of the holiday. After a long day mainly spent on motorways, we finally reached the Lake District and our holiday home in Windermere.
Travelling up in 2 cars, we dropped the kids off and jumped in my car to explore the area a little.
Drove through some countryside, went to see Wordsworth's old home town then caught a small car ferry across the lake back to Windermere. Stopped off in town for a walk around the harbour where we were met by hoards of swans being hand fed and posing for pics...
Back home to scoff some food and crash out for a well deserved sleep.
