Clarence Pier by andycoleborn

Clarence Pier

Taken at Southsea, Portsmouth.

My Dad was a Royal Marine Commando - which might explain his strength and fighting spirit - so before visiting hospital in the afternoon, me and Mum drove to the former Marine barracks at Eastney, on Southsea front in Portsmouth to buy him the latest Globe & Laurel magazine.

Afterwards we stopped for an ice-cream where I grabbed this snap.

Got to hospital in the afternoon and Dad was grumpy and short-tempered today. He is slowly getting better and was taking his frustrations out on Mum. Which hurts her a great deal.

The tube is out of his head and he has been up on his feet a bit, wobbly but it's a start.

Left Mum with him for a couple of hours and popped to see some friends who lived nearby. My mate's wife is keen on photography and has been following me and some others on here for a while - Chatted for a bit and convinced her to join the project... Welcome Hayley and good luck :-)
Hey, lovely photo and nice neck of the woods.
Really pleased that your Pop is on his way to recovery... if he's getting short tempered he must be, lol. Keeping fingers crossed :-)
