Visited my parents down in Hampshire this afternoon ahead of going to see Portsmouth take on Bristol City this evening. I took them for a little drive through the countryside and down to the beach for a few hours.
We started off by driving up to Portsdown Hill which has fantatsic views across Portsmouth, the Solent and the Isle of Wight. I was taking some pics with my Dad's new toy, a Canon 1000D when I turned and spotted him grabbing a sneaky kiss.
Despite being in their 80s and married for 61 years, it's good to see romance isn't dead...
Both are doing well and Dad's recovery from his recent serious illness is really pleasing to see.
After spending a few hours with them, I met up with my mate and watched Pompey play really well and win 3-1... A good day all round...
@uneven365 Erm not sure... It was a blind date and my Mum and her friend, were due to meet a couple of Capt's. But my Dad and his mate turned up instead... Mum is fond of reminding Dad this :-)
awww that is so sweet! Happy to see pops is doing well and out and about. so isn't this the second win in a row for your team, you really are on a roll.
I bet this was a beautiful spot. I actually have been to the Isle of Wight, I have amazing memories there including having my first ever ploughmans lunch.
Bit behiind the curve here but none the less well done for a fabulous photo! Portsdown Hill is an amazing place. So glad to see your dad feeling chipper, your mum has an elegant pose here and as everyone says a picture for the future. Hope you show them and all the comments you have provoked!
Wonderful shot of your parents Andy & nice to see your old man doing so well good luck to them both..... & pompy too fingers crossed for a good season for you guys .... top picture !
Wow... thanks everyone.... I can't believe all the fantastic comments. I will certainly be getting this one printed and framed for them... They haven't actually seen this as I grabbed my Dad's memory card to upload and said I'll post back to him... Will send with this photo framed...
don't think the tinting to the edges is necessary. the car would give away that the picture is fairly new anyway.
the focus, the concept and outcome are lovely
