Took a wander along the canal during my lunch break down to Shadwell Basin, once part of the London Docks, but now reserved for leisure use. Took this photo of a swing bridge as I liked the reflection in the stillness of the water.
Look closely and you will see a pigeon flying directly towards me. (Probably easier to see the reflection in the water then work your way up...)
The original photo wasn't up to much, so using a bit of spare time in work, I edited this in photoshop to give it a painting feel. Doesn't work so well on here as the image is small, but looks ok when enlarged).
Today is election time in the area where I work; voting for the borough’s first elected mayor. Trouble is, this borough is so corrupt that over 7,000 of the 17,000 votes cast during the referendum into whether or not to have an elected mayor have turned out to be fraudulent. And we have the cheek to complain about dodgy practices in 3rd world countries…
Oh, and it gets worse…One of the favorites for the top job has links to a very dodgy Islamist group...

Glad you pointed out the pigeon, if you did not point out the reflexion I would not have seen it. We have politicians in the States the use money and scare tactics to win elections, it may be working. It is a sad day for the democratic process when that happens. Enough said about my political views.

Will be carrying on though.. @yoelao The area is an odd split, multi million pound river front apartments next to some of the poorest social housing in the UK...
