Following on from yesterday's photo, here's another view of the Canary Wharf development. This time taken from the opposite side, standing at West India Quay looking South-East.
What this photo tells me is I definately want to come here at night, armed with my tripod and try some nightime long exposure shots. Am at football this weekend so might stop by on way home and give it a go.
After yesterday's clear blue skies, today has been grey and drizzle all day... :-(
Busy now cooking for tomorrow. It's Black History Month here in the UK and never needing an excuse for a nosh-up, work will be holding a "bring a dish" lunch for staff. Each person must bring in something with an African or Caribbean feel.... I'm cooking sweet & spicy sweet potatoes.
We've around 80 staff so should be scoffing all afternoon tomorrow....
This is a wonderful detailed shot. Love the processing that you did. Very graphic shot. Can't wait now till you have a long exposure shot of this. Love it.
Nice work Andy , never knew about the black history month to be honest, so I will ask a few of my work mates see if it's common knowledge around these parts
yum can show up at your work, sounds like a feast! So we celebrate Black History month in Febuary, guess we are too busy with Halloween (haha) to do it in October. Great Shot Andy. I must say that I must go visit Canary Wharf when I am in England this Jan.
Nice composition and I like the bring food to work day. We tried that once at work were people had to bring in a dish from their home country. You get some great and interesting food that way.
BBC 1xtra are cracking out the black history month music too...its all good!
