This is the second time I've photographed this disused radar station on the Thames near East Tilbury - the last time being a little over a month ago (http://365project.org/andycoleborn/365/2010-09-20) although back then, I only had my P&S on me.
I've got a couple of days off work so I revisted the station, this time with my DSLR and took advantage of the heavy skies to silhouette the building. Again used the in-built silhouette option on the camera - Quite often I'll take a snap or two using this option as the results can be fairly dramatic. Apart from the crop to 16:10, this is untouched.
Despite the threatening skies, it didn't rain today...
Had to buy a new tire and have my wheels re-aligned this morning... £100 spent just like that..!!!
Heard my first fireworks last night... sure sign Bonfire Night is just around the corner...
Now is bonfire night for Guy Fox? Or are they two seperate occasions? I think I need to check out my camera and see if I have the silhouette option......
@andifree LOL... Guy Fawkes... :-)... Close tho :-).. Yeah, Bonfire Night is when the 'guy' a effigies of Guy Fawkes is set on top of a bonfire, whilst fireworks are let off... There's a poem that starts "Remember, remember, the 5th of November; Gunpowder Treason and plot"...
Fireworks starting to go off here too Andy.. dam annoying when you trying to take the dog for a walk.... ' Guy Fox'.. lol Andrea i think it sounds much better .... nice picture Andy great silhouette
I personally prefer you P&S shot. Hope that os OK?
Congrats on the top five! :)
