Bonfire Night by andycoleborn

Bonfire Night

Remember, remember the 5th of November;
Gunpowder, treason and plot...

Today was Bonfire Night and we all went off to Wanstead Flats to watch the display. We were joined by a few thousand other people watching the half hour display which was actually really good. Although there was no bonfire which was a bit disappointing..

It wasa little windy which was a shame, but at least the rain held off until after the display finished.

I didn't take a tripod, but took quite a few shots hand held with a 1 second exposure which came out pretty good. But have decided to upload this one as I like the silhouetted people watching this fireworks.

After, we went to Channai Dosa for some authentic south Indian grub... (Well... It is Diwali as well....)
Wow Andy, as I thought: fireworks master! I love the framing on this; it really captures the feeling of being in the crowd. Fab shot :)

Oooo!! Lucky I miss Guy Fawkes fireworks! Great shot by the way. My foreworks pix from the Kings fathers birthday were terrible -I deleted most of them :)

Nice one, I love the shapes the smoke leaves almost as much as the firework itself. Also I like the people, good choice!

This came out really well - I've got a 'heads of people and fireworks' shot yet to upload, but nowhere near as good as this one. We nearly went to the Wanstead Flats display but didn't in the end - sounds like it's a good one.
