With it getting dark now before 5pm, my photo opportunities seem to consist of someting within a 10 minute or so walk from my office during lunch, or an evening wander after work.
And so once again, I ventured off, camera in hand, after work on a little wander just to see where my feet will take me.
Ended up walking down Threadneedle Street in the City and took a few pics of The Royal Excahnge building. It's a wonderful looking building, pity I couldn't fit more in - needed Vik's bad-boy wide angle lens tonight :-)..
This is in fact the 3rd Royal Excahnge on the same site - the first was opend by Queen Elizabth I in 1571 and destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666. The second was also destroyed by fire in 1838. The current building was opened by Queen Victoria in 1844..
I'm with you. It's getting more challenging to get a picture before I leave the house in the morning and head home in the evening. I am fortunate in that I can get out during my lunch break. This affords me a lot more opportunities. Time to think about night photos.
I kind of like being forced into taking pictures in a small square foot area. I think it makes us REALLY look at what is around us always and find the beauty in it. Just like you did here
