The Train Home by andycoleborn

The Train Home

I took today's photo at Liverpool Street Station, looking down at the just a small number of platforms at the station, catching the beginning of the evening commute home.

Wish now I'd taken a pic standing far to the left and caught trains in all the platforms... but hey ho...

Liverpool Street is one of those typical grand Victorian railway stations. According to Wikipedia, it was built in the 19th century on the site of Bethlem Royal Hospital widely known as Bedlam... Although I thought Bedlam was in South London so not sure on that fact...

Boring day in work - managers meeting in the morning spent watching a couple of directors squabling like kids then an afternoon making a start on this month's staff newsletter - Going to be a rush job as only 8 more days left this year....

Getting cold again... below freezing again tonight... brrrrrrrrrr....
Great view. I adore the train station mood. It's the perfect place for photography :)

This is a fantastic shot! I've never seen it before so even to see it is wonderful! Really cold here too. Our wind chills were down to about 20 below zero.

Gives a good perspective to the end of the station....what no one around to tell you to clear off either?

@azza_l Cheera mate... no, got away with this one... although am thinking of sneaking my girlfreinds press card into my pocket. It's issued by Indian Commision so that would really confuse them :-)

LOVE this!!! And I think you took it from a great spot; I like the walkway in the middle and the empty tracks on the right. SO cool!

I really like the slight imbalance of the weight of the trains on the left and empty tracks on the right - it makes this shot even more interesting! Love it!
