Spinnaker

Another trip to watch football in Portsmouth today and as I had some time on my hands, I popped to Gun Wharf before the game to take some photos of the Spinnaker Tower.

I kept an eye out for fellow 365er, Murray ( http://365project.org/hednod/365), but despite checking all the bars, didn't see him :-)...

The last time I visited Gun Wharf, this tower (originally planned for the millenium) hadn't been built - quite a while in other words.... It's supposed to have great views across the Solent and surrounding areas so must visit again.

I wanted to do a long exposure but couldn't find a flat surface so this was taken wedging the camera against a round pole and keeping it as steady as I could. Not perfect but ok given the circumstances...

Before the game I took popped into my parents and took them out for a pub lunch (delish carvery for only £3.99 in Lee-on-Solent.....great value)...

As for the game...! Abject, dismal, pathetic, useless, awful, crap... Yep... we lost again...lol

Nice - i was obviously too busy working hard. My offices are the top level of the section on the right of the tower.
