I mentioned in yeterday's comments on my iphone pic that I hadn't come across any bluebell woods despite keeping an eye out... Well, that all changed today.
I pulled over at a small woodland area called Cely Woods, maybe 20minutes drive from my house, and as I walked around the corner from the car park, I was met but a sea of blue.. stretching as far as the eye could see in all directions...
It took about half an hour to walk around the wood and every inch of ground was covered.. That should give you some idea as to the numbers of flowers on show..
The view truly was spectacular and the aroma was outstanding. I think because today was another hot, still day, the cover of the trees made the woods quite humid and aided in keeping the smell of all these flowers inside the wood.
I took loads of photos but quite liked the added feature of the fallen tree in this shot.
