Windy old day today which had the added benefit of scuppering my first day back in the office.
Got to the station only to find overhead lines had been blown down and the bus replacement service was no where to be seen.. After a couple of hours milling about drinking coffee, decided the wisest course of action was to call in, take the day off and start all over again tomorrow... That's if they fix the lines - last I heard was they were still down..
Wind and rain for much of the day turned to wind and clear skies at dusk....
Fabulous hour long ayurvedic massage in the evening... would highly recommend if you've never tried..
Great colors. The gasometer makes for such an interesting silhouette. Sounds like the weather all over Great Britain was pretty nasty. Glad to hear you, if not the power lines, are okay.
What a glorious sky! Even gas cannisters can look beautiful with views like that.
I will have to check out the massage, see if I can learn to pronounce it before asking for one!
Cheers guys @rich57 ta mate... suppose I could of driven in, but was more than happy to take the extra day :-) @sleepdozer57 haha.. more poor spelling/grammer.. Oh Andy, Andy, Andy - I have train journeyed past these structures near West Ham and said to myself "One Day, when I pass these at sunrise (or sunset) Im doing a silhouette" - Damn you! LOL - Great pic mate, you nailed it !
You have made an everyday blot on the landscape into something magical. Wonderful tracery here Andy. These used to fascinate me as a child and I remember my dad trying to explain how they worked! Of course the one you can see from The Oval is best! A fave for me!
@islawight thanks isla, yeah, this was about about 5 mins walk from the O2 @Cherrill Oh yeah cherrill, totally agree about the oval gasometer,.... never been there mind, only seen on the boxtho lol :-)
