I credit this to my very patient 5 year old who provided the wind power... we had loads of fun trying to capture the movement and the detail of these "monsters", it is nearly perfect and would have liked the whole mouth in shot but maybe another time. I hope you enjoy!!!
@lesphoto Hi Leslie this was about the 5th dandelion head we had been through and she had saved the best to last as it worked perfectly!! Thanks for looking and for the comment!!
@soboy5 Thankyou @buttercup Thanks for the Fav Mary! @aleksandra Thanks on all counts - was a bit lost without my camera! @allisonrap Thanks Allison for the Fav and the comments! @sanfil Thanks Sandra @cleanfreak Thanks Carole and I ended up taking in manually (setting and focus) as the model kept moving!!
@toxicalice92 Hi Ashley and thanks for the very kind comment. Once you have an SLR in hand and understand the basics you will easily produce shots like this, given the fabulous shots you already produce!! I have only been shooting for just over a year now (using manual control only) and have learned so much from other photographers.
@andysg Well it'll be a while before I have an SLR with any of the commands available. I only got my first manual pocket camera just a few months ago and I'm still learning how to work it everything. I'm stuck at home pretty much every day so I don't really have a bunch of opportunities for anything new to figure out its limits just yet. I can't wait 'til I do get my first SLR and we're able to go out more and I can talk to everyone on here and get some tips! Thank you so much for the compliment on my photos! :O
@toxicalice92 Hey Ashley most of my photography is done in the house or in the garden and the truth is it's not the camera but the person using it that makes the photo - I think they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". I know people who think they have to spend large amounts of money on equipment but no matter how much they spend they will never take a good photo as they will never be able to visualise it, which is important!!
@andysg lol I know it's the person and not the equipment mostly, however, there's really nothing more around the house that inspires me, and I LOVE traveling. Going out and exploring helps me learn the limits of my camera and figure out what I can do with my surroundings, but when those surroundings are repeated day in and day out, there's nothing much new I can discover and it becomes mundane. And unfortunately, everything, including gas, costs money which we don't really have, and we're stuck at home almost all day every day (unless it's like, the first week of the month. But that doesn't help me for the rest of the month). That's all I meant, is that for me, it's hard to learn or actually do anything when I'm stuck in the same place every day. :)
@ljm HI Laura and thanks for taking the time to look and comment. I had done this before so had an idea what I was doing but was well chuffed with the end result. I had a very patient accomplice!!
