This lovely row of old houses is in Warwick. It always fascinates me how such places stand over the centuries when they hardly have a straight line in them. We stopped on our way North for a coffee and thoroughly enjoyed people watching in this picturesque town.
What a charming street. It would be a shame to straighten everything up still, it does make one hope that they get the buildings checked out every now and then for soundness.
A familiar building!! Our son Chris and his wife live just off the other end of this street (Jury Street) ; we are there at the moment looking after their two children!! Behind this building, Lord Leysters Hospital, is the most delightful garden and decent cafe.
@andyr Goodness- what a small world, particularly when we already share a mutual connection with York. The building itself looked well worth a visit but was shut on Mondays so we were thwarted. Warwick entertained us well to coffee and a wander and we really must visit again sometime.
What a beautiful scene. The houses look marvellous, but could be qute a maintenance nightmare. Reminds me of the children's poem There was a crooked man.
