Red street furniture

Stafford is very well off for pillar boxes (2) and telephone boxes (4) in this part of the town. As a dying breed I felt I had to capture them as part of the history of the place .
Yes ... they do seem to becoming a rarity ... lovely capture :)

Iconic for England and a brilliant red color. Sorry to see them go like the US postal blue mailbox.

Nice. I was taking photos of all the ones I saw when I was in the UK 😄

Wonderful pop of color from these pillar boxes and telephone boxes -- and your scene is composed beautifully!

Very few red phone boxes left, I love them! I like this row of reds here.

I like the feel of tradition here. We don't have much left anymore, at least here in the States. Very good perspective and receding lines

@alijchapman @joansmor @leggzy @onewing I'm glad they still exit though as I still love writing letters to my old friends.

@gillian1912 they are indeed , although Stafford seems to have more than it's fair share !

@dsp2 @casablanca @joysabin thanks for your comments. I wanted to show the old Victorian post box in the background as a sort of nod to the past.
