I have been wanting to do this for a while. Actually, the idea came to me while I was doing my book challenge but I just couldn't do it then because it wouldn't have really followed the theme and so I threw it into the back of my head. Only today did I remember. So I had my niece sit down and open a book.
All the other photos were taken by me at different times. Two are from Sea World, one from the aquarium in Monterrey, CA. some are from when my family went fishing... and so on.
Anyway, I really like how this turned out. And yes, I know that the sun is behind the clouds and that I added a moon but that is part of the excitement of imagination and the fantasy of reading.
@eliserose781 thanks! I am not sure if there is a real method. I originally was just going to have something "pop out" of the book but I thought I'd surround her in the environment. She couldn't be sitting on the water, so I added a bamboo raft. From there, I just went through all my nautical photos and placed them in the scene and moved them all around until I found what I thought was the perfect spot. I kept adding until I felt the photo was full enough. I didn't want to over-crowd but I also didn't want the background to be empty.
