Last night I got to see eight pelicans at a lake near me. It was my first sighting of pelicans in Michigan, and this is my documentary shot. Apparently, they were chased off this morning by a male Mute Swan, so I am glad I went out last night right after I heard about them.
Congratulations on catching these. I didn't know how far north they went - we have them in January-early March or somewhere in that time frame - but don't know where they've been or where they go next. Guess the swans were rather territorial.
