Thank you for your views and comments about my Goldfinch photo. Today I went "lakeshore" birding with some experienced birders. During migration, they go to a pier here on the east shore of Lake Michigan and try to ID the flocks of ducks that are migrating south in the distance, using spotting scopes. It was pretty far beyond my skill level. However, we did see two different terns on the beach that I don't see very often, and I was able to get decent photos of them as I was leaving.
