Giant Swallowtail by annepann

Giant Swallowtail

Our biggest butterfly. Because they are so big (6 inch wing span) they have to keep flapping their wings while feeding or the flower would fall from their weight. It makes them a bit hard to photograph. Found this one behind the public library yesterday.
AWESOME SHOT !!!

Lucky lucky you! Have seen just one (last year) and was amazed at how big they are. Super focus and dof. The blur movement is really good here. Fav
