Dragonfly Exuviae by annepann

Dragonfly Exuviae

I've waited several years to find the empty larval shell (the exuviae) of a dragonfly clinging to some vegetation. Probably because the larvae climb out of the water at dawn, the shells they leave behind after becoming flying dragonflies have usually blown away by the time I get out in the late afternoon (I'm a night owl.)
Wow. A beautiful picture.
