Rainbow Bee-Eater by annied

Rainbow Bee-Eater

The Rainbow Bee-Eater is a spectacular bird with its green, blue, chestnut and yellow plumage, its slim build, slender curved bill and distinctive streamers that extend from the end of its tail. It is the only species of bee-eater found in Australia.

THere were a few of these beauties flitting about on the long walk back from the Military Museum at East Point - and this fellow ends my birds in the wild week......
Hmmm, I've never heard of rainbow bees. :-)

Nice capture & comp
