The fennec fox is the smallest of all the world's foxes, but its large ears, measuring 6 inches (15 centimeters), appear to be on loan from a bigger relative. Their ears radiate body heat and help keep the foxes cool.
Soooo cute!!! For fun, I'll post mine in my "yesteryear" album...or whatever I call it! They're adorable and might be easily mistaken for the Easter Bunny, what with those amazing ears!
@Weezilou oh I look forward to seeing yours - I have the cute shots - but a few years ago I was using my zoom - when I got home and was going through shots I came across a fennec fox that looked like a demon hahahaha -
@graemestevens thank you kind sir @vstap thank you....the pair were quite active trying to get into an egg carton lol...was happy to get a couple of good shots
@annied@teiko Given what's Emilie has said about these, it has the look of a Kitsch painting of a little creature-child with oversized eyes that's supposed to make your heart melt! It works in this case...*real* helps!
Interesting animal- I don't think I've ever heard of or seen one before. I like how you took this too- the high key just seems to accentuate how sharp the ears and nose are.
The processing is really interesting. If I hadn't seen one recently, I would not have given you enough credit for the subtle changes to get this effect. Excellent!
