thorns

The palm house at the Botanic Gardens in Adelaide was my favourite - it features a wonderful collection of plants from the island of Madagascar - I have a bit of a collection of them myself.
This one - to the best of my memory - is Madagascar ocotillo or Alluaudia procera. You will see more of the gardens and the palm house in my People and Places album in the weeks to follow.

In my Fun with Themes album I am attempting Nicole's Half and half May - https://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/29707/half-and-half-may
I like how in close up they look much less spikey and much softer! (though still like they'd hurt if you fell on them)
